My time of service onboard the "Count" was about 37 months; many of the friendsTaken in 1987 ~ Mediterranean Sea I made along the way though I've regretfully lost contact with.

This site was originally intended to simply assist me in finding those old friends from the the "Count" days; I've been fortunate to locate many of them as a result.

While on the ship as an EW I was a part of  "CI" division (as it was known) and compiled of usually seven guys, from Chief down to Seaman Apprentice.  We usually mustered with CS division who comprised of DS's and ET's.  Our (EW) workspace was on the O3 level just forward of the Harpoon deck and aft of the Bridge.

Over the years the site has grown into a portal through which former shipmates can communicate and keep in touch.  If you were a member of the crew from Oct. 1984 through Nov. 1987 the photo above may be how you  remembered me.

I am currently living in Northwestern Pennsylvania and have a wonderful family, two healthy sons who love baseball and a spouse that puts up with way to much "crap" from me. If you think you know me from the old days drop me a line or browse through the Quarter Deck Log to search for other shipmates of your own.  You can add your name to the Alumni Database so old friends you've not seen nor heard from in years can locate you; or just browse the list here; there's even a section for Plank Owners to have their photo posted on.
